Application-Paused.

CFF will open again to the public soon.*

* If you are a legal/social/health worker and have an emergency, please contact CFF’s ED directly. Please do not wait until the public application is open.

Due to the massive volume of requests for assistance, Colorado Freedom Fund accepts applications from family, friends, and community members supporting people in custody only on specific dates. We are currently processing the hundreds of referrals already submitted, as well as working to support the many people whose bonds we posted and who have ongoing cases.

We can not accept applications via phone/email/text. The only way to apply is via CFF website. When open, the application form is available at ColoradoFreedomFund.org/refer.

To apply, you will need to affirm that the person has consented for you to apply, and you will also need to submit the following information:

  • full name of person in custody, their birth date (month, day, year), their gender

  • jail/facility where held

  • total bond amount of all bonds

  • date of most recent arrest for the current period of incarceration

  • next court date

  • any special circumstances about which we should be aware

  • what support does this person need to return to court and complete their case(s)?

  • does the person have any other warrants/holds? (ICE, parole, other warrants, etc.)

  • name + phone # of expected post-release contact

  • your name, phone #, email, and relationship to the person in custody

From time of submission, it can take ~4 weeks to hear from us, but given the current status of our waiting list it may take longer. This means it will be an even longer time for us to post, in the cases we are able to post bond. We apologize for the delay and are working hard to process applications from all across Colorado.

Thank you for your patience.
